About Atiya Law
Atiya Law was founded to tackle the complex challenges facing immigrants, offering dedicated legal support around immigration, criminal, and family law.
Our founder, Shahad Atiya, has an inspiring story. She’s an Iraqi immigrant who moved to metro Detroit as a child and later graduated from Wayne State University Law School. Over the last ten years she built this law practice and became one of the top immigration lawyers in this field, winning some of the most challenging cases in immigration law history.
Our law firm is now growing and we now need to grow the team to stand up for immigrants and support those underrepresented.
The team at Atiya Law is technically savvy and always looking for smarter ways to work. We use AI and available legal technology to streamline our day to day tasks, stay organized and give clients faster, more efficient service.
About the Position
We are a law firm focused on serving immigrants and their legal needs. We handle immigration, criminal, family and business law matters. This is your chance to actually practice law as an immigration and criminal defence laywer, not sit behind a desk reviewing files someone else gets credit for. We are hiring an Associate Attorney who can meet with clients, appear in court, and manage cases with support from a tight and skilled team.
Most lawyers in their early career spend years doing office based work and never see the inside of a courtroom. That is not how we work. At Atiya Law you will work directly with clients, argue in court, and take on real responsibility from day one. If you like being thrown into the deep end and learning fast with support from a top lawyer, this is the place for you.
The attorney will primarily handle immigration and criminal defense matters, with the option to learn and take on family and business cases if you want to grow your skills even further. We want someone hungry, curious and ready to build a career they can be proud of.
As you grow in the role, you’ll have the chance to help shape how our firm evolves. Once you’re confident in your casework, you’ll be encouraged to refine our processes, suggest new ideas and enhance the way we work, including opportunities to utilise technology where possible. We value people who think creatively and want to contribute to a smarter, stronger practice
